Three Bond 1346B – Anaerobic Adhesive Sealant Overview

The Three Bond 1346B is a anaerobic adhesive sealant based on Methacrylate, developed specifically for threaded connections up to M20. The demountable, high-viscosity seal is ideal when a re-sealable seal is required. The blue color facilitates visual inspection of the seal in complex assembly situations.

It is solvent-free and cures quickly, particularly when metal parts come into contact. The seal provides low strength, which makes demounting without damaging the threads easier. The temperature range extends from -60 °C to 150 °C, making it suitable for a variety of machine applications.

The application range includes threaded connections in metal construction and machine assembly, where a tight but later releasable connection is required. The demountable form minimizes downtime and facilitates maintenance without damaging the threads.

Construction and Operating Principle

The construction is based on Methacrylate, which polymerizes into a highly viscous sealant mass. The blue seal does not separate after curing, but offers good chemical resistance to typical media in industry and enables reliable sealing at low strength.

Low Strength – Easy Demounting

Because of the low strength, the sealing connection can be easily released after maintenance, without damaging the threads. The combination of color-coding, temperature stability, and high viscosity makes the product particularly suitable for applications where demountability and safety are required.
