Three Bond 1741 – Cyanacrylate Instant Adhesive Overview

The Three Bond 1741 is a low-viscosity Cyanacrylate Instant Adhesive designed specifically for capillary bonding. With a viscosity of approx. 2 mPa·s at 25 °C, it offers excellent flow behavior in tight gap spaces and does not flow on irregular surfaces. The color is colorless, enabling precise placement.

The curing time is 3–5 s for typical capillary bonding; the buildup of sufficient strength occurs in about 10 s under normal adhesive joints. The main component is Ethyl-Cyanoacrylate. The bond achieves a shear strength of about 15 MPa and remains reliably resistant over temperatures from -40 to 85 °C. With a content of 500 g per bottle and a shelf life of 12 months the product offers reliable long-term stability.

This adhesive solution is ideal for metal, plastics and rubber bonding without primer. The colorlessness supports aesthetically unobtrusive bonding in demanding applications.
