Three Bond A20131 – Cyanoacrylate Instant Adhesive at a Glance

The Three Bond 1786 belongs to the cyanoacrylate category and is supplied in a 20 g bottle. The main component is Ethyl cyanoacrylate, and the adhesive bond appears transparent. Therefore the cyanoacrylate instant adhesive is suitable for rapid assemblies, repairs and high-volume production where a robust bond is required in a short time.

With a viscosity of 150 mPa·s and a density of 1.05 g/cm³ it is easy to control and process. In the temperature range of -40 to 120 °C the adhesive bond remains stable. The pot life is 5 minutes (25 °C, 100 g); curing at room temperature is complete after approximately 30 minutes. The maximum shear strength reaches about 20.1 MPa. The adhesive is shelf-stable for about 12 months.

Bond metals, plastics and elastomers reliably. The adhesive bond is color-neutral and enables a clean aesthetic seam. For PE/PP the primer 1797 is required to ensure reliable adhesion.

Processing

• Prepare surfaces (clean them).
• Apply adhesive.
• Join surfaces and briefly fix.
• Allow to cure (approx. 30 minutes at room temperature).
