Three Bond 1786 A20133 – Cyanacrylate Instant Adhesive Overview

The Three Bond 1786 Cyanacrylate Instant Adhesive is based on Ethyl Cyanacrylate and belongs to the class of instant adhesives. It reliably bonds metal, plastics and elastomers. With Primer 1797, PE/PP can also be bonded to challenging substrates.

This product is suitable where short cure times and high strength are required – ideal for serial production, repair and assembly situations.

Suitable for Metal and Plastic Bonds

Metal Bonds

Bonds steel, stainless steel and aluminum quickly and durably. The chemical reaction cures within a few minutes, allowing parts to be fixed rapidly.

Plastics and Elastomers

On plastics such as ABS, PA and PC as well as elastomers, the adhesive provides good adhesion; for PE/PP, use of the Primer 1797 is recommended to significantly increase adhesion.

PE/PP with Primer 1797

With Primer 1797, adhesion to PE/PP improves significantly; work clean, avoid oils and moisture.

Processing & Practice

1. Clean surfaces, degrease, and allow to dry well.
2. Apply adhesive in short drops or beads.
3. Position parts within the pot life and press firmly together.
4. Allow to cure at room temperature for about 30 minutes; full strength depending on ambient conditions.
