Three Bond 1206D sealant at a glance
The Three Bond 1206D is a single-component RTV silicone liquid gasket in a 20 kg bucket. It offers an alcohol-free, flexible sealing solution that, thanks to high elasticity, adheres well to tight contours and leaves a paintable surface. Its chemical resistance and the temperature range from -40 °C to 120 °C make it suitable for industrial and maintenance applications. The seal is gray and features rapid skin formation, enabling short downtime.
The surface drying typically occurs in about 5 minutes, before further processing can take place. The viscosity at 25 °C is about 80 Pa·s, the density about 1.46 g/cm³, which allows good filling in gaps and joints without excessive chipping.
Suitable for contour and enclosure sealings
Due to its high elasticity and uniform surface hardening, the seal is particularly suitable for contour and enclosure configurations. The gray color helps it blend unobtrusively into many components, while its resistance to heat, cold, and chemicals enables it to withstand harsh industrial environments.
