Sealant Three Bond 1227C at a glance
The Three Bond 1227C is an RTV silicone liquid gasket in a 20 kg bucket. As a sealant from the RTV silicone family, it provides reliable seam sealing even under high loads. The color Grey facilitates visual inspection and post-processing of sealant joints. The viscosity is approx. 300 Pa·s (25 °C) and the density approx. 1.24 g/cm³, which enables good flow and filling of gaps.
With the broad temperature range of -60 °C to 200 °C (briefly up to 250 °C), the sealant is suitable for industrial applications that experience temperature spikes or changing loads on the sealing surface. The surface drying time is approx. 7 minutes, the shelf life is 12 months.
Suitable for vibrating flange connections
The RTV sealant remains flexible and tight even if flanges vibrate strongly or the load changes. This makes it particularly suitable for applications in machinery, pumps, oil and gas environments where seals are subjected to dynamic stresses.
