Three Bond 1227E – RTV silicone liquid gasket overview
The Three Bond 1227E is a black RTV silicone liquid gasket for flange connections. As part of the Sealant category, it offers a highly elastic seal with good oil compatibility. The cartridge provides proven elasticity and reliable sealing performance in areas that require oil resistance.
With the integrated system, the sealant shows strong adaptability to uneven surfaces and protects metal parts from corrosion. The black coloration facilitates visual inspection during the assembly process, while the composition as the main component: RTV silicone (MeOH system) supports chemical resistance.
Suitable for flange connections and demanding environments
The sealant is designed to reliably seal in areas with vibrations, oil and chemicals. Its highly elastic matrix compensates for flange deformations, ensuring a permanently tight connection without causing metal corrosion.

Processing & Practical use
Before applying, thoroughly clean and degrease the surfaces. Apply the sealant evenly along the desired sealing line, assemble the components, and allow the joint to cure according to the surrounding conditions. The surface drying time of about 20 minutes facilitates further processing and minimizes rework.
