The Three Bond 1217L (Variant B) is an RTV silicone liquid gasket in a 20 kg bucket. As a sealant solution it is primarily used for flange connections exposed to vibrations. The very fast curing and its resistance to oil and coolants enable short downtime during maintenance and assembly, especially at cylinder head and water pump flanges.

The color of the material is Gray, the viscosity is 255 mPa·s (25 °C) and the density is approx. 1.40 g/cm³. The temperature range extends from −60 °C to 200 °C (short-term up to 250 °C). With a shelf life of 9 months it offers availability and planning security in production.

Suitable for cylinder head and water pump flanges

The liquid gasket enables reliable sealing under thermal and chemical loads that occur at engine flanges. Thanks to good elongation (550 %) and a tensile strength of 2.4 MPa, the sealing bond remains stable even with flange deformations.

Application notes

Before application, thoroughly clean, degrease and keep surfaces dry. Apply with adequate sealant bead thickness, ensure even distribution and observe curing at normal room temperatures.
