The Three Bond 1206D is a single-component, alcohol-free RTV silicone liquid gasket that forms into a highly elastic, paintable seal. The gray seal aids visual inspection on sealing surfaces. With a viscosity of approx. 80 Pa·s at 25 °C and a density of approx. 1.46 g/cm³, it ensures even application and stable seals across temperature ranges.

It cures quickly and forms a flexible barrier. The seal is resistant to heat, cold and chemicals, with elongation 470% and a tensile strength of 2.2 MPa. The Shore hardness 41 D provides a good balance between deformability and rigidity. The shelf life is approx. 6 months.

Packaging options include 200 g tubes, 330 ml cartridges and 20 kg pails, offering flexibility for maintenance and production applications. The gray seal is particularly suitable where paints and surface contours play an important role.

Suitable applications

Due to its alcohol- and acid-free formulation, the seal is ideal for gaskets in painting applications, housings, covers, and structural components where a paintable, temperature-resistant barrier is required.

Application and practical tips
