The Three Bond 1216 RTV silicone liquid gasket comes in a 333 ml cartridge and is suitable as a reliable seal for oil pans, transmission housings, and water pumps. As an RTV silicone based on oxime, it offers rapid surface curing and minimal shrinkage.

With viscosity 120 Pa·s, density 1.40 g/cm³ and a temperature resistance of -60 to 200 °C (briefly up to 250 °C), it provides a stable, durable bond. The hardness is Shore D 60, elongation 200 % and tensile strength 3 MPa, which increases safety under vibrations. Shelf life: 9 months.

It is ideal for permanently sealing solutions on bridges, oil and cooling circuits.

Applications

Suitable for oil pans, transmission housings and water pumps as well as other sealing applications in engine-near areas where fast curing and reliable adhesion are required.

Processing & Practical use

• Thoroughly clean and degrease areas.
• Shake the cartridge, apply seal bead into the joint.
• Allow sufficient curing time and inspect the seal bead.
